Joseph Herring's first wife may have been named Ida, who was born Mar 1869, in Mississippi, and died in Texas. Joseph's second wife's name was Hattie.
Known children were Ambus, b. Dec 1890,Mississippi, Effie, b.Nov 1893, Texas, Ethel, b. Feb 1894, Texas, Samuel, b. Aug 1896, Texas, and Bertha, b. Mar 1900. Texas.
Ethel married Lonnie Timmons, and she and Lonnie had 3 children. Ethel died Dec 1963 in Texas.

Rick is researching two Herring lines (he doesn't know if they are connected). They are: 1 - the lineage of Isariah Herring b. about 1822 in South Carolina, died about 1898 in Elbert County, GA., and
2 - the ancestors of Lillie Mae Herring, b. 1894 Madison County, GA, died 1988 in Clinton, SC. Lillie Mae married Thurston A. B. BURROUGHS in 1915, Madison County, GA. Rick believes Lillie's father was Charlie Reece Herring.

Mary Ann and William buried in Compton, Quebec Cemetery. They had 3 children: Sylvester James Sharman 1852-1871, Mary Eva Sharman, 1858-1878, & Cora Eva Sharman, 1867-1897.
Children buried in Compton Quebec Cemetery. William Sharman was born in Holton, Suffolk, England. He came to Canterbury Quebec with his parents and 8 siblings in 1836.
