The Garnett Family Tree

I started tracing my family tree with my dad Ray Chapman over 10 years ago. I discovered that my My Great Great Grandmother of the Chapman line was Emma nee Garnett. She was part of a very large family based in Ellesborough, Buckinghamshire.

Our interest in the family history came about because my grandfather John Chapman had been orphaned as a child and knew little about his family. He did, however have memories of visiting his grandparents in Ellesborough, and as an adult he used to return to the area with his family for picnics. I remember my granddad pointing out Dropshott Cottages where his grandparents used to live. These are still there today.

A lot of the Garnett research that I have is thanks to Doug Garnett of the Garnett Family Registry!

If you would like to get in touch with me regarding the Garnetts of Ellesborough or any other of the families related please email me.

I also have a copy of the Buckinghamshire 1851 census and am willing to do lookups if you email me a request.
