Embree's and More

WELCOME TO EMBREE'S AND MORE!

Daddy, Mama and Hilda

Guy W. Embree b. Nov. 22, 1916 d. Feb. 28, 1995 to Tom Embree, born Oct. 1895 in Jackson Co. Kentucky, died March 1961, buried in Pilot Knob Cemetery, Madison Co. Kentucky and Velma Williams Embree, born February 6, 1895, she died April 4, 1931, buried in Cates Cemetery, Madison Co. Kentucky.

Guy Embree married Elizabeth McHone Oct 1940, in Madison Co. Kentucky. Elizabeth was b. Nov. 12, 1915 d. Dec. 26, 1969.
Elizabeth was daughter of William Walker McHone and Lula Barrett McHone.
They are buried at PILOT KNOB CEMETERY, BEREA, KENTUCKY

My daddy always went by Guy Embree, but I would watch him practicing writing his name, he would put a W. in the middle. I never really knew if it belonged there, but suspected it had something to do with his mother, Velma Williams Embree's, maiden name. I found my younger brothers delayed birth certificate which my mother had given them the information. It gives our father as "Guy Williams Embree" so now I know. I love you, Daddy, hope you can see what I've done from up there!

This Website and all other genealogical and historical websites on the Internet are here because of alot of hard work. It's a big job, and takes much time and energy and years to gather information. I have tried so hard to give credit to all the ones who helped me, either with tons of info or just a helpful reply on a messageboard. They deserve full credit for helping me find my ancestors.

Please email me and let me know if we're related, share with me what you have, I'm willing to share with you. If you want to use something I have, email me and ask my consent, that's what I did with some of the things I have here, since this and other websites are copyrighted.

This website may not be used for commercial purposes.

If you are kin, feel free to copy information, it would be nice of you to send me a note telling me how we're related. People sometimes don't realize that finding something on the internet does not make it free to take, copyrights are legal on the internet, too, as well as anywhere else. I'm here for family, not glory, so any help you could give me are more twigs, branches and leaves for our Family Tree.

Thank you for taking time to read this, good luck to all in your search for your own family tree, Barb.

I started my genealogy search to find out the real story behind my gr. grandfather, John Embree's murder, and my gr. grandmother, Lilley Embree's death within 2 weeks of his. I found my answer and so much more.
I want to thank Gloria Black, for posting her gr. grandfather's, William H. Clark's, information on the Jackson Co. Kentucky site. When she did that, my answers fell into place and I am so thankful to her for that.

Do I care if some of the men in my ancestry drank moonshine or got into fights? Do I care if some of the women in my lines might have had things happen to them that others would be judgemental over?
No, I don't care, I am proud of each and every one for surviving, for dealing with the good and the bad....the troubled times... with courage and "standing their ground", no matter what hit them in life. There was only one person who was ever perfect on this earth, and He still loves us ones who aren't.
