Victoria Quays looking from Hyde Park
The space to the right of the quays(above the arches) was the coal depot railway sidings.
The Hilton Hotel has since been built on the site. The Sheaf Market on the absolute left (left of car park) has now been demolished and the area is being used as a car park until the council decide when or if another market is to take its place. In the distance starting left is the Netherthorpe area. Neepsend (centre) and Pitsmoor / Burngreave (right). Broad Street in the foreground

This photo is of the north side of the canal (Victoria Quays)
The coal depot railway sidings to which the railway leads (right) is now the site of the Hilton Hotel.
