Brown St
Probably named after Ralph Bown who owned property in the area.
He was named in 1821 as being the victualler of the Rose & Crown in nearby
Paternoster Row.
Starts where Paternoster Row finishes and ends at Sydney Street / Furnival Street junction (far distance). To the left of the traffic light is Grinders Hill which leads down to Shoreham Street and Sheffield Archives.
