School Hill, Park (Between Bernard
Street and Bard Street)
School Hill has completely disapeared but I believe these steps
was where it was originally sited. The road at the bottom of the steps was
Bard St (now renamed Blackwell
Close). The road further in the distance was School
Street (now renamed Blackwell Place) leading to Duke
Street. About halfway down the steps (to the right) was where Stepney
Street originally ran into School Hill. (see Godfrey OS 1903 map)
