THE SHEFFIELD PUBLIC HOSPITAL FOR DISEASES OF THE EAR, THROAT AND SKIN

Is in Devonshire Street. It is under distinguished patronage, and is supported bv donations and annual subscriptions. Admission is free to all, providing they are not in a position to pay for medical advice. There are four beds for in-patients, and the out-patient attendances are upwards of 11,000 annually. Subscribers of £10 and upwards become life governors of the institution, and are quaified to take part in and vote at all general. meetings; subscribers of less than £10 are entitled to take part in and to vote at the general meeting next following the date of their subscriptions. The hon. medical officers are..-Physician and surgeon, Mr. W. G. Bower; consulting physicians, Dr. H. J. Hardwicke, Dr. W. Gordon Holmes, and Dr. J. Johnson Bailey; consulting surgeon, Mr. Richard Ellis; consulting ophthalmic surgeon, Dr. Charles Befl Taylor. The committee consists of eighteen members, the Rev. G. C. Ommanney being chairman. Matron, Miss Alice Gladwell. Hon. sec., Mr. ].B. Hallam, 10, St. James Street.
