Note: Descendants of Jacob Eshbaugh (Eschbach) born 1797, believe he was born in Germany and immigrated in 1814. There is no documentation to support this theory. The 1880 Census documentments the father of Anthony Eshbaugh (born 1829), Frederick Eshbaugh (born 1830) and Elias Eshbaugh [born 1836], all sons of Jacob Eshbaugh [Eschbach) bron 1797, as being born in Pennsylvania and not in Germany. Therefore, Jacob Eschbach (born 1797) was born in Pennsylvania and not in Germany.
