DuPraw-Joseph C. DuPraw, 1002 Eighth Ave. age 71, died Friday, Nov., 27, 1953 at Hurley Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Monday, Nov. 30, 1953 from Groves & Co. Memorial Chapel. Garland at Third Ave. Dr. E.H. Longman officiating. Burial in Grace Lawn Cemetery. Mr. DuPraw will lie in state at Groves & Co., Memorial Chapel. Death was sudden, he was born in Zilwaukee, Michigan, May 2, 1882, son of William ans Duleina DuPraw. Lived in Flint for the last 43 years, coming here from Saginaw, Mich. He married Della Williams at Midland, Mich., March 10, 1910. He was a former member of the Flint Police Department. Mr. DuPraw was employed with the Flint Police Department for 20 years, from 1914 to 1933 when he entered employment at the Chevrolet Motor Division as a Plant Protection Officer on February 11, 1933, and retired September 1, 1951. Surviving are: Wife, Della DuPraw: son, Russell Mnchester of Lapeer, Mich; 2 sisters, Mrs Lelano Crapo of Florida. Mrs. Florence Fore of Saginaw, Mich; e brothers, George DuPraw of Susanville, Calif. Albert and Clarence DuPraw, both of Saginaw, Mich; several nieces and nephews.
