Jack Dempsey Eddings

EDDINGS, Jack Dempsey of Roseville, California passed away suddenly March 22, 2006 at the age of 77. Born April 13, 1928 in Weinert, TX, he was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

Preceded in death by his wife Jennie Alvadean Eddings in 1993.

He is survived by his loving wife of 12 years, Thelma Eddings; daughters Jackie Sturgis of Roseville, Calif., Margaret McCormick of Shingle Springs, Calif.,Brenda Herron of Sacramento, Calif., son John Tosh of Sacramento, Calif., step-daughter Betty James of Bakersfield, Calif., and step-son George Howard of Roseville, Calif., and 8 grandchildren & 11 great-grandchildren.

He is also survived by brother Howard Eddings and sister Joyce McPherson.

Jack received a degree from Landmark Baptist College in Sacramento, CA. Jack served as a devoted Deacon of the Bethlehem Primitive Baptist Church of Loomis, Calif., for many years.

He worked for Aerojet in Sacramento before becoming self employed in excavating and grading for new construction.

Upon his retirement, he stayed busy helping the elderly in the area with lawn care and other home maintenance. He was an avid woodcrafter and carved beautiful carousel horses.

He was loved by all who knew him and will live in our hearts forever.

Friends and family are invited to attend a visitation on Mon., March 27, from 4PM to 7PM and funeral services on Tues., March 28, 11:00 AM both at Lambert Funeral Home, 400 Douglas Blvd., Roseville, CA.

Interment will follow at Sylvan District Cemetery.
