Indian Home Guard
Source:
National Archives and Records Administration. General Index to Pension Files,
1861 to1934. T288, 544 rolls. Washington, D.C. National Archives and Records
Administration.
This is not a comprehensive index of
those who served in the Indian Home Guard, it however, includes more than 4000
names of those who served. This index does not distinguish the Freedmen and/or
Indian from any other soldier (although the names highlighted in blue are my
ancestors). The Index list the names of the soldier, his wife and
any other name that appeared on the Pension application.
Note: Some pages will take a full minute to load for dial-up users.
