The Freedmen Descendants of the 5 Civilized Tribes, Inc. is happy to announce the "Telling Our Own Story" award  Granted by the Southern Heights Heritage Center and Museum, an African American/African Native Museum located in Enid, Oklahoma.

The award will be given to African American and African Native web sites that are committed to “Telling Our Own Story”.  The Committee will review sites for:

1. Content: Educational Material
2. Links (unbroken)
3. Ease to maneuver through the links
4. Active Sites (Those that are updated at least 3 times a year)
5. Design
