This is Darwin Soule, my Great, Great Grandfather, he was born April 26, 1832 in Michigan. He died July 18, 1921 in Auburn, Indiana and is buried in the Waterloo Cemetery. Darwin was the son of George Soule and Ellen Clements. Darwin was married to Margaret Knight Hodges on April 17, 1869. He married also to, Lena E. Mc Clary on April 23, 1898 and Aniso V. S. Blaker on October 29, 1903. Darwin fathered at least nine children: Mattie, Ben, Maggie, Nellie, Franklin (my line), Maude, Nina, Glen, and Ruth.
In this picture, unknown when it was actually taken, Darwin looks to be wearing the clothing of someone who worked for the railroad. Does anyone know for sure and if so which railroad was in Auburn around this time? (1871-1921)

This is Frank Soule and Fannie Opal Truman Davidson. Frank is my Great Grandfather and Fannie is his second wife. They were married in 1945. Fannie is a cousin of Harry S. Truman.

Darwin Soule's Decendents: There is Harriet (Soule) Gill, Georgia (Gill) Elkins, Sharon (Gill) Vanden Bossche, Dorothy (Ewigleben) Kolkman, Kevin C. Kolkman and his dog. Kevin and I met on the internet and had been exchanging family history. We finally met in person on June 18, 1999 at his Mother's home in Indiana. It was really great to meet some family of Darwin decendents. My Mother and Sister and I had went to Steuben and DeKalb and worked on the family history and then went over to meet Dorothy and Kevin. The good-byes were hard but we asured each other to meet again.
