The 2008 reunion did not happen due to many things that were going on. But there is plans for a reunion in 2009. Return again for further updates.
The August 20, 2005, Reunion happened at the same park. Everyone enjoyed the area where it was attended.
The 2003 Reunion was a big success. There were several families that were able to attend and all enjoyed themselves. Many took rides around the town and seen areas where the Matchett and France families lived and of course they were able to see the new Matchett building that the townspeople were in the process of building.

This is a picture from the 2003 reunion
This years reunion (August 20, 2005) - will be held at the Bourbon Park in Bourbon, Indiana. We will start gathering at 10:00 a.m. and ending around 7:00 p.m. or when the last person leaves. The park has a large building and play equipment for the kids, young and Old. There are many sites within the town of Bourbon that our ancestors helped to create.

We are asking that you bring a covered dish to pass and table service. There will be coffee and punch available.
Bring your family pictures, old family bibles, etc. to share with others.
This is the second that we know of, gathering of Matchett's and their related lines. We hope that you will come and be with us on this day.
There are motels in the Plymouth and South Bend areas if you need a place to stay for the weekend.
We will have Memorabilia for sale to help defray the cost of the reunion, also will be selling raffle ticket on a quilt.
The reason for holding this reunion in Bourbon, Indiana is because many of our Ancestors helped to form the town of Bourbon after moving there from Virginia and Kentucky. Some of the related lines are: FRANCE, BELL, STEELE, just to name a few. If you go to the web site Sharon's Family you will find some of the other names listed, if you are connected, please consider being at this reunion.

Hope to see you all there; this should be a really good event. We know that there are families coming from many states. Time to meet all those cousins that you may have never known you had.
