This is a 4-generation photo. William M. Batson and Catherine Powers (not shown) were the parents of Mary Jane Batson.

Mary Jane was their 3^rd born child. She was born December 8^th, 1859 in Marshall County, Iowa. On Valentines Day of 1889 Mary Jane married James M. Wilson in Oxford, Worth County, Missouri at the home of her parents William & Catherine Batson. I have only one child listed for Mary Jane and James, Cora Angeline Wilson.

 Cora was born October 30^th, 1879 in Missouri. March 2^nd, 1902 Cora married Elmer Ellsworth Percy in Ravenwood Nodaway County, MO. Elmer was the first of 4 children born to Jeremiah Clark Percy and Jennie C. Lowe Percy. Elmer was born November 4^th, 1876 in Peoria, Illinois. Cora and Elmer had 3 children that I know of, Marion Clark born April 9^th, 1907, Imo Jane born April 29^th, 1911 and May (shown in this photo). I do not have the birth date for May, but she must have been born before April 7^th, 1913, as that is the date of William M. Batson’s death. 

(NOTE** there is some sort of small canister sitting on the table in the photo. I can not tell what it might be from the copy I have, sure has me curious though!)
