The Batson Bridge crossed the West Fork of the Grand River in Green Township of Worth County, Missouri. This bridge was accessed from Batson Avenue, which crossed the land of William M. Batson and was used by many of the children to get to school, (Batson School).  William M. Batson owned over 400 acres of this prime bottomland and had donated land and some of the money to construct the Batson School. It is unclear if he also paid to construct the bridge. This bridge was removed in the late 1930’s.  The river had changed it’s course and due to the change, damage to the bridge resulted.

For a detailed sketch of the area please see Land Map of William M. Batson.
