The John W. Anderson family lived in the Divide District of Buffalo
County, NE in Section 12, on 240 acres rented from John and Sophia Brick. The
family farmed mostly corn, hay and Sudan grass. Mt. Pleasant School was
almost two miles from their farm. One
of their closest neighbors also had the last name of Anderson, although not
related. I have highlighted the children’s names in red, which are part of my
