Peter Shriner was born in 1759 in Germany.

Eva Barbara Bittle or Biddle was born in New London, Frederick County, Maryland on 6 Mar 1773. This is now Westminster, Carroll County, Maryland. She was bapt 13 Mar 1773 in the Evangelical Luther Kreiders Church in Westminster, MD. She was the daughter of Andrew Biddle and Christina Cover.

CHILDHOOD

YOUNG ADULTHOOD

FIRST MARRIAGE

The 1790 census is suggestive that Peter Shreiner was married before Eva Barbara Biddle and had 6-7 children.

It is important to note that there was another Peter Shriner also in Frederick County about the same time who was also close in age. This Peter Shriner is found in Dorinda Shepley's Shriner descendants, namely, Peter Schreiner, son of Johan Philip Schreiner. This "other" Peter Schreiner was b 25 Oct 1767 in America, marr Mary Groffin in 1795 Frederick County, and is buried in Taneytown Reformed Cemetery.

MARRIAGE

Eva Barbara Biddel, abt ag 16, and Peter Schreyner, abt ag 29, were married 19 May 1789 in the First German Reformed Church, Frederick City, Frederick County, Maryland. Witnesses: Peter KEMPF and Joh. MILLER.

CHILDREN, ETC

In 1790 their dau Sarah Maria Shriner was born.

In 1794 Jacob Runckles sell land to Peter Shriner. (Jacob Runckles was married to Eva Barbara Bittle-Shriner's aunt.)

In 1797 Peter Shriner buys land called Kemps Good Luck, Resurvey on Friday from Peter (a miller) and Salima Kemp, except for some of which had been sold to John Shriner. This suggests that John Shriner is a son, brother or father. Also in 1797, howbeit on a different day we find Eva Barbara Bittle's father, Andrew Bittle recording a land deed the same day as a Abraham Shriner with a Micheal Shriner as a witness.

In 1800 Jacob Runckles, Zephania Harrison, Peter Shriner, Alexander Todd, Benjamin Todd, and Joshua Todd were all in Libertytown for the 1800 MD Census.

Abt 1805 their dau Sarah Maria Shriner, abt ag 15, married Capt. John S. Lawrence who was abt ag 30-35.

In 1808 Peter Shriner's mills was 3 miles below Libertytown.

In 1813 Peter is still a miller and his miller is referred to as being 4 miles below Libertytown on Linginore.

DEATH BURIAL OF PETER SHRINER

Peter Shriner died 5 Jan 1821 and is buried in the Cath. buring ground in Liberty. Eva Barbara died a few years later on 25 Aug 1823 and is buried in the same place.
