Serena/Awards Program Owner

I am Serena & the owner of Serena's Family Tree & Serena's Family Tree Awards Program.

I began my web experience 4 years ago in 1999. I started on my journey as a website developer with automatic web builder sites like Geocities and AOL Homepage Editor. After tiring of not being able to have much, if any, flexibility with these types of programs, I decided to broaden my knowledge horizon. I began self teaching myself html through free classes and tutorials on the web.

I am now the web builder and owner of 3 websites, which were all built using freehand html coding. I am also the owner of WhiteFeather's Web Awards, which is rated by UWSAG, Award Sites! Olymp Award Index, & Morning Stars Awards. I am a certified evaluator with Treasures of the Web through WhiteFeather's Web Awards & have completed HTML 101, HTML 201, Tables, Forms & Frames courses from Web Tech University for which I recieved Diplomas. Morning Star/Awards Program Evaluator

A self made woman of honor and a high belief in fairness. I have been doing web site design and evaluations since July 2000 with my own awards program. I was trained in site design and imaging by Bill Heilig and enjoy every single minute of creativity. I was certified in web site design and imaging in March of 2002...I was also certified in JavaScript Applications back in December of 2002.

I got involved in evaluating web sites for the pure joy of watching people get all happy over the awards they won. It is more fun for me to give then receive...and with each evaluation...something is always given. Although I do not claim to be prefect...I'd like to think that I have good taste in imaging and web site design. I do my level best to encourage people to have high standards for themselves and do their best at designing their own web sites. At the same time...give back what has been given to me through my ever patient mentor...respect and kindness. The two most important elements to being a good site designer is not in what a webmaster or webmistress does...but it is how well they respect others views. I believe in doing evaluations as unbiased as possible, and in that process, doing things with respect to ones feelings if possible. Even more important...I believe in doing evaluations for fun and enjoyment...just to see others ideas and creativity is an honor.

I'm presently 47 years old and married to a wonderful man. Together we share two dogs and two cats...our home is about love and respect for each other. There is nothing that I want more in life other than what I have....for it is a happy life.
