This page is the result of several things. The research started some time ago when I ran across messages on the ancestry.com message board. There were several of these over a period of years, by Shirley Trumbly, Amy Fay, and Mary Keller, and a recent one by Deborah Geer in 2005. This one combined and corrected earlier ones, and expanded the line. Since the line was German, I did not do more with it at that point. I saved the messages and my research notes.

More recently, I read an obituary for Letha Fay in Idaho, and it interested me. I researched her line, and eventually discovered that this was the same line I had earlier noticed. I combined the material, and extended it by further research in, for example, census records, social security and WWI registration.

Sarah married Louis Klein, a blacksmith and civil war veteran, born in Baden about 1834, on September 20, 1866. She must have died soon after, for there seems to be no further information about her.
