This is the published obituary of Albert Riggs of Murrayville (1852-1921) which ran in (I believe) the local Jacksonville, Illinois, newspaper following his sudden death from a heart attack on 8 Jan. 1921. Despite an occasional spelling error here and there, Albert's obituary preserves a great deal of biographical and genealogical information about Albert and his family. This copy of the obituary was supplied by Albert's great-granddaughter Barbara Jean (Riggs) Spencer, daughter of Ralph Million Riggs, son of Waldon Scott Riggs.
