One Big Haystack

Karen Michaelis says the above picture "is of a haystack taken in the early 1900's. My father, Dell Kress is the little boy....Henry Elliott is in the middle and on the far right is my fathers grandfather, George Wilkinson, Roby's husband. The fella on top is a Devine. Daddy said that they would take a pole and start pitching hay around it....how they got it that high, I don't know." I guess the pole must have held the hay up.
