Carter aka Wells Cemetery, Knox County, Kentucky
Directions: These are from the Carter Cemetery which is located about 2 miles down Dowis Chapel Rd off of Hwy 6 in Knox Co on the left side of the road. It has a white plastic fence around it. About 100 yds past the Cay and Rosa Carter Place, related to the family, but this cemetery is not named for them, named after James Carter, who is buried there. There has been much debate that this may actually be the Wells Cemetery and not the Carter Cemetery. I do not know. With either name Thank you Bill and Gina Smith for sending these to us.
