This is a codicil to the last Will and Testament of one Thomas VINEY of the Town of Folkestone in the county of Kent, tanner, which I duly made and published on 22nd October 1822. Whereas I have in and by my said will devised and bequeathed my Estate and Effects as on a distribution thereof after the Decease of my dear wife to make my children equally shares in and to be benefitted thereby and thereout and whereas my Brother in Law William KNIGHT deceased did in and by his last will and testament bequeath unto my sons Thomas, George and William certain pecuniary legacies and of his said will appointed me the said Thomas VINEY Executor and whereas I have as such Executor paid the said legacies unto my said sons Thomas, George and William on their attaining their age of twenty one years, but did not pay or allow them any interest thereon previous to their attaining their said ages of 21 years considering that they had by the bequest of such legacies already become possessed of and had more property than my other children had or would have under my said will. Now I being desirous to make all my children equally well in circumstances do therefore in case any or either of my said sons Thomas, George and William shall attempt to make or enforce a claim for any interest money or their or either of their said legacies on the Executrix or Executors named in my said will or on my Estate or Effects revoke and utterly make void and of name effect the Devises and Bequests in and by my said Will made to them or either of them and I do hereby ratify and confirm my said will and testament in all other respects whatsoever.

Whereas I have named my sons George, William, James and Samuel Executors of my said Will and it being my wish and intention that my sons Thomas and Benjamin should also be Executors thereof I do hereby nominate, constitute and appoint them, y said sons Thomas and Benjamin to be Executors thereof and -------- with my said sons George, William, James and Samuel. In witness whereof I the said Thomas VINEY have with this writing in one sheet of paper contained which I publish and I declare to be a codicil to my last will and testament set my hand and seal this 12/2/1825.
