"She loved to sing
hymns and each evening as Mom (Genevra Mercer Cox) played the pump
organ, Amelia walked the floor and sang. Her voice was musical and
pretty."
-
"She pieced quilts
and once left a 'crazy-patch' quilt at our house which was not
exactly 'shapely'."
-
"Amelia was rather
short and buxom and used her ample bosom for handkerchiefs, mints &
letters, etc. (All the necessary items were quite visible in her
pretty flowered dresses)."
-
"She went to church
regularly in town and enjoyed the 'tureen dinners'."
