In the Burial Ground of the Demolished
1^st Baptist Church, Baptist Lane, Ossett.

This burial ground has, since the church has been demolished, allowed to become rather overgrown and neglected. There are very few memorials still standing and many of those that are have become vandalised.

The names shown below are the first names inscribed on the memorial stone and are for reference purposes only. They do not signify the only burial in a particular grave.

I understand that Mr. Wild recorded the inscriptions of the memorials in 1974 and a copy of these is held at the Yorkshire Archaeological Society, Leeds.
