Preface

Genealogy is a never ending quest. What starts out as a curiosity concerning one family is slowly overtaken by an obsession. One brick wall destroyed

usually leads to another equally puzzling ancestor. One of my brick walls was finally knocked down by finding a cousin through Rootsweb, a wonderful place to find ancestors.

On to the hunt... and BANG!! another brick wall ~~ John HOLBROOK ~~ but WHICH John HOLBROOK? What town in Massachusetts did he come from? Wellfleet? Weymouth? Scituate? Mendon? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?
These pages are an attempt to solve my dilemma while contributing documented data on the Holbrooks of Massachusetts. It is my hope that someone in each of the other states where Holbrooks reside will be able to find the connector to the original families. Who knows....maybe this will eventually result in
