MURPHY, Patrick
Born in 1720.  Married Elizabeth Kelso in Kilmore, Arran, Bute.  Emigrated 
from Arran to America c1774.  Settled at Black River, Ivanhoe, NC.
Revolutionary soldier.  Father of Robert, 1765-1840.  Died in 1785.
