Arthur Ambrose and Millie Irene (Stevens) Stevens

Arthur and Millie Stevens were my great grandparents. They are the ones that make my Stevens relatives intertwined. The reason for this is because they were 2nd. cousins. Millie's and Arthur's grandfathers were brothers.
Arthur Ambrose Stevens was born to Emanuel Stevens and Mary Elizabeth Whiteman on August 01, 1894 in Grant County, Indiana. He died on March 04, 1959 in Wabash County, Indiana and is buried in the IOOF Cemetary, Grant County, Indiana. Millie Irene Stevens was born to Orange Lemon Stevens and Luella Ann Sirk on May 19, 1899 in Grant County, Indiana. She died on August 25, 1986 in Marion, Grant County, Indiana and is buried in the IOOF Cemetary, Grant County, Indiana.
Athur Stevens worked at the Anaconda in Marion, Indiana for may years. Millie Stevens was a house wife and mother. As far as I know she never worked outside of her home. Her husband always handled all there financial affairs etc. until his death in 1959. Then Millie had to learn how to manage her checkbook and all her accounts. She was a very resourcefull woman. Even after Arthur's death she never went to work away from home. I can remember that she could make a big meal for any unexpected visitors. It seems she was always prepared to do this. This among other things was always amazing to me. She was very particular about her yard and how it was mowed. Beleive me I know because I mowed it enough times for her. She didn't want 1 blade of grass out of place it seemed to me. She would even get her broom out and sweep the sidewalks off as the grass was being mowed. But not sure she wasn't sweeping the yard as my back was turned. She always wore her bonnet while we worked in the yard to protect her face from the sun and to keep her ears warm. She said her ears always got cold while working outside.
