Mr Nicholas Golding, aged 97 years, died at New Plymouth, son of Mr E A Golding. He was a veteran of the Maori War and a Sergeant of the 65th Regimentt, which landed at Taranaki in the 1860s. He is survived by two daughters., Mrs E M Smith, widow of late Mr E M Smith, M.P., and Mrs Thomas Hickman, wife of Constable Hickman of the Armed Constabulary Force.
