The driver of a Dairy Company Milk Tanker, was killed instantly, when it capsized onNo 7 Road, Waitoa this morning. He was Alexander George Wall, aged 33 years, married with one child, of Cudleigh Road, Waihou. The tanker which was empty was being driven along No 7 Road to collect milk. The cause of the accident is not known, but Mr Wall was thrown out of the cab and the vehicle capsized on top of him. An inquest will be held in Te Aroha tomorrow.

Whilst drunk, Michael Joseph Walsh went to the house of his mother-inlaw and livened things up by aiming a bottle at that ladies head. Fortunately the missile flew wide of its mark, though it struck the safe and broke about 6 plates. Walsh who is a self prohibited man, was asked when he appeared at the Auckland police court on Friday, before Mr E C Cutton, SM, if he would take out another prohibition order against himself. He demured, so the Magistrate ordered one to be taken out for him. He was fined one pound and 11 shillings and sixpence costs.
