FRAZIER

1) GADDIS/FRAZIER.

Robert GADDIS and Mary Ann FRAZIER (father Andrew) came to the US from County of Down, Ulster Ireland in 1801.

Landed Newcastle and stayed in Delaware until 1803.  Went to Lancaster PA until 1817 when moved to Ripley, Brown Co., OH.  From there, the descendants spread out to Butler Co. in KS; Scott Co. in IN; McLean and Knox Counties in IL and around St. Josepth, MO at which locations most were at the turn of the century.  They are exclusively Protestant.   Most were farmers, carpenters or Methodist preachers.

Some associated family names are PORTER, WAMSLEY, SURPER/SURBER, EASTON, WISBY, SIMPSON, DILLON, WELTE, SUTTON, SARGENT/SEARGENT, ARDERY/ARDREY and PARROTT.  Curiously, every generation has had one or more males with the middle name of Maxwell, though there is no known connection to a MAXWELL family or location.
