5) GADDIS/MarthaWilliam GADDIS and his wife Martha NN had several children: James, David, William, John, Sadie, Herbert, plus others. Names are illegible in document. William died 10 Nov 1905.
James was baptized 19 Mar 1865 in the Parish of Hughnamullen East in the County of Monaghan NIR. I am not sure when he crossed the Atlantic, but I know he became a citizen on 15 Oct 1895. Yet, he married my great grandmother Annie JENNINGS in 1891 in Cambridge, MA. Annie was an orphan of Richard and Lucy WOOD.
They had 10 living children:
Mae: b. 25 Jul 1894, d. 1957 Second wife to James MOORE. He had first married her sister, Gertrude, but she died in 1918. James MOORE then married Mae in 17 Sep 1924. No children.
Gertrude: b.25 Sep 1897, d. 2 Oct 1918 married James MOORE in 1914. No children. They lived in MA.
Flossie: b. 3 Apr 1899 married to Edward RILEY (Boston police officer) They had four children: Edward, James, Florence and Beverly. They lived in MA.
Amy Lucy: b. 25 Oct 1903, d. 29 Jun 1904
William: b. 24 Jul 1904 (my grandfather), d. May 1960. He married Bridie BURKE and had two children: Anna Mae and William Jr (my dad). They lived in MA.
Leroy: b. 23 Dec 1906, d. 1980's. Married Kay NN. They had four children: Jack, Betty Jane, Robert and Jim. They lived in San Mateo, CA.
Dorothy: b. 15 Mar 1908, d. ? She married John Sullivan DALY. They had six children: Jeannie, Arline, Barbara, Jack, Richard and Alice. They lived in MA.
Winnifred: b. 1 Jul 1912, d. 1972. Married Fred BENSON and had two sons: Robert and Thomas. They lived in MA.
Myrtle: b. 13 Oct 1914, d. 1997. Married Stanley PRYOR and had two children: Elizabeth and Richard. They lived in MA.
Herbert: b. 30 Mar 1917, d. approx 1951 (approx. age 34 at death) Married Mary NN and had a daughter, Elisabeth. They lived in MA.
