Jake and Nancy GADDIS were possibly first of this line. It is believed they came from Ireland. (Yes, another Ireland connection!) They were probably born in 1830-1840's.

Joe/Joseph GADDIS married a Lilly GARRETT. It is believed they were in Dade County, GA. Joe worked in Gainesville, AL for a while before going back to GA. They are buried in Dade Co, GA.
Evelyn GADDIS (? - 1948) married a William Wesley DOCKERY (1851-1932). He was born circa 1859, she 1866. Their children were: Bariah, Hubbard and Homer. Grandson: Barney Carter. Evelyn's name has also been found spelled Evia and Evelyne. Evelyn remarried in 26 December 1933 to D W LETTERMAN. Although, she is buried by her first husband at the Crossroads Baptist Church Cemetery in Gilmer Co, GA.
William Lucallen GADDIS (ca. 1865 - ?). He married HueDaniel America EPPERSON. She was from Jefferson or Shelby Co, AL. They married in St Clair, Co. AL. They are buried in Leeds, AL. They have at least one child, named Samuel Pickney GADDIS. He was born in 1911. He is the father of Peggy's husband, Jerry Neil GADDIS. Samuel was married to Inez LEWIS from Pickens and Bibb Counties, AL.
Doc GADDIS - It is believed he might have been in Monroe Co, TN around the 1900's along with his brother, Ellis.
Miller or Millard GADDIS married Susan RATCUFF 28 Nov 1891 in Gilmer Co, GA.
