GUESTBOOK | OUR FAMILY TREE

This is a web site about the Galey and Miller families who settled in western Nebraska in the early 1900s. It traces some ancestors back as early as about 1460. It includes a few photographs and anecdotes, and it also contains a fair amount of information about other "cousins" who came before and after. Click on any of the eight family names at the top of this page to learn more.

Pictured at the upper right are Eliza and Elisha Galey. He was from Indiana; she was from Missouri, where they met and raised their family. One of their 11 children, James Thomas, eventually made his way to Nebraska to pursue work and raise his own family.

The wedding photo shows Peter and Dora Miller, immigrants of German ancestry, but who were both born along the Volga River in Russia. They met shortly after their families arrived in Longmont, Colorado in the early 1900s. Like the Galeys, they also had 11 children, and their lives, too, were filled with remarkable adventures and experiences. We hope you enjoy learning about these and our other ancestors!
