These are the children of Tom & Eva (Cunningham) Galey. Shown left-to-right are Margaret, Bob, Bernard, Tommy, Karen, and Gary. Taken at the O'Neill Photo Company in Chadron, Nebraska, the picture is undated, but was probably taken in late 1945 or early 1946. The Galey family of western Nebraska has been traced back to Missouri and Indiana. Much of the information included here was generously provided by Eva Cunningham Galey, who grew up in Whitney, Nebraska, and spent the rest of her life in Dawes County. She died in 2002 at the age of 92. Her love of family and keen interest in history was an inspiration to all.
