Clary had a beard. Was handsome. When Mr. Williams saw him that time on
the road to Marlin he had not been back to Hamilton after the church
shooting episode, as I understood. There was no church in town then in
1873, only this log house up what is not Bell Avenue toward the Judge
James. Mr. Rice place.
