SOME FAMILY CONNECTIONS

George Gentry first married a Snow, then a Day (The Mrs. Gentry who taught school at Shive and here whom I knew. A widow was Gentry’s third wife, a well-known school teacher after Gentry died in West Texas). Old Man Bill Kemp, the father of David Kemp, who killed Smith, and who was later notorious in New Mexico, also married a Snow girl. Mrs. Snow and Old Man Sol Barron were brother and sister. So he said Gentry wasn’t really as much against them--that is David Kemp and them after the killing of William Snell.
