Mr Charles Henderson Clerk of Ohio County
Court Sir you will Please Issue
lisences [sic] for Thomas J. Barrett to Marry my
Daughter Elizabeth Ann Keith and I hereby
Certify that I am willing that they may
be Joined to gether [sic] in wedlock this given
from under my hand the Day and Date
above mentioned
B. J. Keith
Know all men by these presents that we Thomas J Barrett
& John Phipps are held and firmly bound
unto the Commonwealth of Kentucky in the penal Sum of
fifty pounds Current money for the tree [sic, free] payment whereof we
bind ourselves our heirs &c Jointly severally firmly
by these presents Sealed with our seals and dated this
21st day of June 1837
The Condition of the above obligation is Such that whereas
there is a purpose of mariage [sic] between the above bound
Thomas J Barrett & Miss Elizabeth Ann Keath
now if there should be no lawful Course to obstruct said
marrige [sic] then the above obligation is to be void else to
remain in full force
test
