Bedford County, Tennessee
1812 Tax List
When lists are arranged alphabetically it is easier for one to find particular persons, however the lists suffer from a reduction in information compared to what was originally present. This list is arranged as close as I could make it to the original entry order, which, in so doing, maximizes the probability that proximity effects and other informative details are preserved. I believe it is the only free, online representation of its type. It also includes some best guesses for names, and some notes added by me as I have time to enter them. Any highlighted person I believe to be my ancestor.

Due to spamming and related unpleasantness, this archive file represents the final entries into Gregg Bonner's Guestbook. At one time I would get multiple messages per day, but the addition of counter-spam techniques added barriers to participation by those with bona fide good intent. As a result, it took 3 years to get the entries you see in this file. After more than ten years the spammers finally caused enough problems that the guestbook was a net liability. Congratulations for ruining my guestbook, spammers! I am sure you made tons of money sending out spam e-mails for fake "\/1agra", right? Imagine how much more money you would have made had you directed your efforts to something, you know, worthwhile. In the future, please have the courtesy of being less stupid.
