Gregg Bonner's Pickle Family

Henry Pickle (1780 - 27 Sep 1854)

Here is a list of the descendants of Henry Pickle (opens new window; 470 Kb).

Thomas Pickle (05 Mar 1820 - 22 Feb 1901)

Bedford County Tennessee was, for the most part, the home of my Pickle family. My guess is that they were in Orange County, North Carolina prior to that. Many of the Pickle descendants also lived in Marshall County, TN, where they can be found on the census records. My ancestor, Thomas Pickle, lived in Liberty Valley at the time of his death, and was buried at Round Hill Cemetery in Marshall County, TN.

Jack Smith was so kind as to go out to Round Hill and take pictures of the tombstones of a lot of the Pickle clan, and collateral relations, and e-mail them to me. I am a descendant of Thomas Pickle by his first wife, Lucinda Beech Stephenson, whereas Jack Smith is a descendant of Thomas Pickle by his second wife, Virginia Caroline Swiney (seen variously as Swinny, Swinney, Sweeny, Sweeney, etc.).

If you would like, you can contact Jack Smith about this family using the below email address:

The other PICKLE Family pictures were also provided by Jack.
Thanks for the pictures, Jack :)
Thomas Pickle was the son of Henry Pickle and Rachel Neeley. You can find his obituaries in my Obituaries section.
Jack Byrne sent me a photocopy of the Pickle Family Bible records. You can find those, and my transcription thereof, in my Bibles section.
