In the name of God Amen this eight day of February one thousand seven hundred and niney one I ELIZABETH STEPHENSON of Madison County and State of Virginia being weake of body but of Perfect mind and Memory thanks be to God for it and calling to mind the mortality of our body and that it is appointed for all Women to die I hereby Constitute and Ordain this to be my last will and Testament

First I recommend my soul to God who give it at death and my body to be Buried in a Christian like and a decent manner at the Discreation of my Executors and as for such Worldly goods as it hath pleased God to favour me with I leave in manner following, to Wit

First I Order that all my Just Debts should be paid and next that my Grandaughter JEAN STEPHENSON his ten pound out of what money my son JAMES has in his hands and the Ballance to JOSEPH HUNTER which is Seventeen pounds four Shillings and Sixpence it is my will that my Granddaughter JEAN MCKNIGH has ten pound out of the Rent of the mill and that DAVID MAXWELL has the Ballance Also it is my will that *he keeps what Cows I have in his hands and Devide them Equal amoungst his Children all but JOHN and ELIZABETH

I do hereby appoint DAVID MAXWELL and JOSEPH HUNTER Executors in Conjunction and I do hereby Revoke all Other Will or Wills and Constitute Ordaine and Appoint this to be my last will and Testament given under my hand and Seal this eight day of Feburary one thousand seven hundred and ninety one
