Mom's Library Location Page Guidelines
This page is intended to provide some guidelines as far as what information to put on a page
that is relative to a specific location, be it country, state, region, county or city.
A special Thanks to Marieclassof86 for providing the content for the guidelines.
Locate a small image of the state flag or seal and place it on the page. Use an image that is around
100 pixels wide and 75 pixels high or set the HEIGHT and WIDTH attributes of the IMG tag.
Include some information about the location it self, such as the capitol or county seat, state bird,
state motto, nickname, when it declared statehood etc.... What ever interesting fact you can find about
the location.
Place an index of categories at the top of the page. The index should be links to the category
header further down on the page. Suggested categories are:
Basic or Essential Links
Ethnic
Family Histories & Collections
Historical Societies
History & Map Links
Libraries & Book Sites
Military Links
Newspaper & other Media Links
Vital & Census Records
After the index, place a centered link to mom's library using the GCF club logo image as the link.
- The category headers should be centered, bold and underlined.
- Category detail should be left justified.
- Links are preferrably text but small images are ok to use as a link.
- At the end of each category, there should be a link to the page index with the text "Return to Index".
- Categories should be separated by a rule or a graphic line the full width of the page
Listed below are suggested links you can include by category. Feel free to use them as you wish and/or
add your own.
Once you have completed the page and want to upload it to the library, email the html file to the club
