Hezekiah's Family Was The Only Chaney Family In The Early Records Of Wythe Co.,Virginia. By 1830 There Were None, All Had Moved On.
Hezekiah Acquired Several Tracts Of Land, About 2100 Acres, Adjoining His Original Property.
In Addition To The Out Buildings, He Owned A Mill Located At The Gap Below His House,
Orchards, And Sold Timber To The Charcoal Furnace.

Hezekiahs Will Was Executed On March 12, 1812 Naming His Children ,
His Will Was Probated In 1813 In Wythe County, Virginia, Naming
His Daughters, Sally Williams, Betsey Stone, Polly Stone, Jenny Cowden, Nancy Cowden,
And Caty ,Still Single. The Two Cowden Men Were, Joseph And Robert Jr Who Lived Near Rural Retreat.
Caty In 1813 Married Richard Stone And Steven Stone Was Married To Betsey.
