You have a good website on Belchers (in USA).
I've recently commenced research into my family history so my children will know who their ancestors were.
My great-great-grandfather Richard Belcher, emigrated to New Zealand from England in about 1857.
As a bit of trival information, I can inform you that there are 182 Belcher's listed in the White Pages in New Zealand (Total Country Pop. about 3.8 million).

What a great page. My great great grandfather on my fathers side was George Washington Belcher of Belcher Ky. My granddaughter, Mary used this site to do a report on her family tree for a class project. She had the most information in her class.

Hi There,
My mother, Bonnie June Shellnut (maiden name Belcher), emailed this site to me and to other family members. She is one of nine children born to William Edward Belcher and Joyce Matney originally from W.Va, they moved to Pike County, KY and eventually to Hazel Park, MI when my mom was a girl. My mom has five sisters, all of whom have 1-2 daughters.
We refer to our strong matriarchal family as the Belcher babes. :-) I'll enjoy going through this site to see what connections we may have.

Hello,
I found your information on the Joseph Belcher (1704) fascinating. I wonder if you have any knowledge of a Belcher-Hunt connection in Western Arkansas and Eastern Oklahoma in the mid to late 1800s? A Belcher was married to two Hunt sisters. There is a Hunt cemetery in Western Arkansas where they are supposed to be buried. The mother of the Belcher man was "full blood Cherokee" and they had an Indian wedding ceremony. Please let me know if any of this sounds familiar or if you know of anyone working on these lines in those areas.
Sincerely,
Barbara E Burrows

Just love your beautiful web site and am hoping to locate information about Rameys from Johnson County and/or Floyd County, Kentucky. I'm specifically searching for Ludine or Ludinia Ramey born around 1880. Also, you may run across Virgie (McKenzie) Ramey married to son of Ludinia Ramey, Rev. Russell Ramey.
Thanks again for your web site.
