The Bradee Family lived on what is now Bradee Road in Brookfield, Wisconsin. The farm had belonged to the father of William Bradee's wife Mary Somer. Her father Carl Somer lived with her and the Bradee family in 1910, when Somer (or Sommer -- now spelled 'Sommers' by descendants) was listed as the farm owner, 90 years old, and insane in 1910.

This statue of a salt miner is in the main square of the town today.
