1. PAUL A.2 GIENCKE (GOTTLIEB1) was born August 04, 1872 in Dargelutz, Mecklenburg Schwerin, Germany, and died January 21, 1959 in Butler, Wisconsin. He married (1) MARTHA BRAUN, daughter of WILHELMINE BRAUN. He married (2) IDA BERTHA ZIEMER August 16, 1898 in Friedens Church, 124th and Capitol, Old Butler, Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, daughter of HEINRICH ZIEMER and BERTHA HINTZ. She was born February 29, 1876 in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, and died July 1973.

Paul A. Giencke was the brother of Minnie Luetzow.

In 1914, Paul Giencke owned forty-eight acres of land just south of North Avenue, in the NE corner of section 23, Brookfield, on Lilly Road. It appears that Paul also owned forty acres just east of Lilly Road in section 24. In 1891 and in 1900, "J. Ryan" is the owner of this land in sections 23 and 24. The Sisters of Notre Dame owned 160 acres in section 24. In 1922, Gienckes still are shown by the plat map as owners of this property. In 1928, Schulz Construction Company owned the land. In section 24, next door to the Gienckes in 1914 was the Schrubbe family. In 1922, George Giencke owned sixty acres just south of Paul Giencke on Lilly Road.

Immigration year of 1900 census different from parents, whose say 1872, and Frederick "Gianke" also 1872. Waukesha County census p. 9A 1900, spelled "Gienke".

Paul Giencke owned a plot in Oak Hill Cemetery, Wauwatosa -- Plot # 124 (1/2 lot.) There is also a note on the Oak Hill records indicating that Gienckes owned 3 1/2 in Plot #124.

Paul Giencke was a godfather of Paul Henry Ziemer.

Paul Giencke was a widower. Paul and Ida Giencke adopted some children (or at least one child) from a family named Goetzke (spelled ?).
