Partially completed autobiography, John Henderson Spencer great
great grandson, Allen County, Kentucky.
In his autobiography, John Henderson Spencer writes that
his great great grandfather moved to Illinois and lived out his long
long life. He also writes that, William, Ahimaaz's first grandson, moved to
Alton, Illinois about 1826, after his father Moses died, and that that Ahimaaz
lived to be 110 years
of age which would make his death about 1831.

Ahimaaz and Moses Spencer, his son, were in Claverick, N. Y. in 1767 in Capt
Hogeboom's Company. Moses, second son, John, was born in Culpeper County, Virginia
1773. They owned land in Charlotte County, Virginia. Deed dated 1778/79 Ahimaaz
and wife Susannah
and Moses and wife Betsy.
It is certain that there were other children. Shernoy with Moses as
witness to Ritchey marriage 1799, Warren County, Kentucky. Nodiah?
Ahimaaz SPENCER and Mary WETMORE were married on 15 Sep 1743 in Middletown,
Middlesex Co., CT. Mary WETMORE was born
on 24 Aug 1725 in Middletown, Middlesex Co., CT. She died in 1764
in Spencertown, Columbia Co., NY. Ahimaaz SPENCER and Mary WETMORE
had the following children:
Ahimaaz SPENCER and Zippard BRAINARD were
married after 1764. Zippard BRAINARD was
born on 16 Oct 1737 in Middletown, Middlesex Co., CT. She died on
29 Jan 1767 in Spencertown, Columbia Co., NY. Ahimaaz SPENCER and
Susannah (?) were married after 1767. Susannah
(?) was born in 1737. |
