John Spencer of Haddam East Side, Administrator of his father's (Samuel's)
estate, conveyed on 8 Feb 1709/10 to his brother Isaac and sister Hannah Spencer.
On 14 Feb 1717/18, Isaac and John Spencer conveyed to John Picke and Hannah
his wife, and the same date, said Picke and wife of Haddam conveyed to John and
Isaac Spencer, right to estate which belonged to Peter Blachford or Peter Blachford,
Jr. his son, alsoright "our father" Samuel Spencer had in the estate.

CHAPMAN & William SPENCER, Jr.
An agreement, appended to the Inventory on file:
To all whom these presents concern, greeting: Know ye that we, John SPENCER &
Isaac SPENCER, do by these presents jointly & severally promise & engage
to our honoured mother-in-law, Miriam SPENCER, to pay her twelve pounds in current
country pay, to be paid at £3 per year, annually, at or before the first
of September yearly. This engagement is for and in consideration of our mother's
thirds in our honored father Samuel SPENCER his estate deceased, and in case
we and our honored mother do all of us survive the firth year, we do, out of
repect to her, further promise to pay her £3 the fifth year as above, in
consideration of the above premises.
I, Miriam SPENCER, do accept of the conditions as above specified, and do by
these presents resign up all my right and title of dower or third part of the
estate of my honored husband Samuel SPENCER, deceased, unto his two sons, John
& Isaac SPENCER, as their own proper estate to their proper use and behoof.
As witness our hands this 5 Mar 1705-6.

inventory of his late father Samuel SPENCER of Haddam. Ordered recored and put
on file. And this Court grant letters of Adms. unto John SPENCER. The sd. John
SPENCER also exhibited in this Court an agreement made between the widow &
children of the sd. John SPENCER.

on 1 Mar 1673 in Lynn, Essex Co., MA. Hannah
(Blatchford) (Hungerford) WILLEY (daughter of Isaac WILLEY and Joanna LUTTEN)
was born about 1642 in Boston, Suffolk Co., MA. She died in 1681
in East Haddam, Middlesex Co., CT. Samuel Gerrard SPENCER and Hannah
(Blatchford) (Hungerford) WILLEY had the following children:
