283. Sgt Nathaniel SPENCER JR., SGT. Jr. died in 1671 in Spencertown, Columbia Co., NY. He was born on 15 Jul 1684 in Haddam, Middlesex Co., CT. About 1760, Nathaniel sold all his lands in Haddam and moved to Spencertown, NY, where he died after 1761. Taken from Mrs. Louise M Birnbaumer, 333 West Calvert St., Lincoln, NB sent to LDS SLC, film #0496485 Oct 1969. He derived his military title from participation in King Phillip's War against the Indians.
